The rare lifetime print offered here was acquired from Tseng Kwong Chi by artists Stefano Castronovo and MeeDin, who, along with friends Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Keith Haring, were part of the flourishing East Village art scene of the 1980s. It is believed that no other print of this image has appeared at auction.

Condition:

Although this rare, lifetime print, has not been examined out of its frame, it appears to be in generally very good condition. When examined closely, the following are visible: 2 one-inch abrasions that appear to have been expertly retouched near the upper edge; and a few deposits of retouching over flaws in the negative that appear to have faded with age. Flattened creases, which likely occurred prior to or as a result of mounting, are only visible upon very close inspection in high raking light. None of the aforementioned detracts from the overall fine appearance of this lifetime print. The lot is sold in the condition it is in at the time of sale.
